THE RESTORATION OF DAVID'S TABERNACLE
24-Hour Prayer and Worship A Vision for Mobile and Beyond

After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. (Acts 15: 16-17) (See also Amos 9:11-12)

Many people across the earth are hearing the call for the restoration of the Tabernacle of David, a place of continual 24-hour spontaneous prayer and worship unto the Lord. The Levites (ministers) in David's Tabernacle are those called to minister to God, not man. We at the Mobile SOS believe we are hearing the Lord speak to us concerning the establishment of such a House of Prayer for our city, region, nation, and global concerns.

We all are witnessing the beginning of the outpouring of end-time demonic entities, principalities and powers which satan has reserved for the end (See Rev. 13:7). The events in Littleton, Colorado are displaying a release of the spirit of death over our nation. Fear, suicide, anxiety and suspicion accompany this outpouring coming against our young people. We know that our economy won't prosper indefinitely at the current rate. We also know that great light shall shine in the church in the midst of great darkness. We hear a call to join others around the nation to "humble ourselves and pray" (2 Chron. 7:14).

The Word of God says that when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord raises up a standard against him (Is. 59:19). We believe that the standard of the Lord for this hour includes prayer and worship rising up together as incense before Him (Rev. 8:4) targeting the specific areas He reveals through worship/warfare (Isaiah 30:29-32).

The Lord's powerful army is getting marching orders. It is a common strategy of God to send out the musicians and singers ahead of His army (See 2 Chron. 20:21-22). There is typically a major shift in music before a move of God. Once again, God is calling for levitical musicians, singers, and dancers to join with intercessors before Him in the Tabernacle of David - the presence of Jesus, and declare the Word of God in prophetic/apostolic intercession. This intercession is both vocal and musical. This is the call of a levite - to be a gatekeeper of the temple of God, to distribute the funds brought to the gates, and to worship before the Lord, making intercession for the saints as a type of the ministry of Jesus.

Tom Hess recently visited Mobile with a vision for 24-hour prayer and worship, particularly tied to prayer being done in Israel. We feel a call to join this prayer at the strategic time he requested (10 a.m. until 12:00 Noon) every day. Tom Hess spoke that the gateway cities of Pensacola, New Orleans and Mobile (the Gulf Coast) were linked to the "New Gate" in Jerusalem. When worshipers would occupy the New Gate in Jerusalem between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. their local time, we would have our praying worshipers in place in the gate of Mobile. We believe the Lord is calling us to this time slot and beyond. He is raising up a core group of levitical musicians and singers who are being called for this purpose. "And behold, God shall do a NEW thing (Is. 43:19).

The "gate" in Mobile has been opened for the exodus of the Jewish people to return to Israel. Along with the onslaught currently happening in our nation's schools, we see the rise of increasing levels of hatred, misunderstanding, racism and anti-semitism developing on the horizon. We now wish to stand in the gap and take a stand against this rise of demonic activity by releasing continual worship and prayer on a 24 hour a day basis. The Lord is gathering a team of people to accomplish this, from both in and out of Mobile.

We are presenting this vision in order to provoke the Body to supportive prayer for this Tabernacle of worship and prayer (and for the other sites where this is now being established) and to ask the Body of Christ for assistance in funding the needs of this vision, particularly giving the "tithe of the tithe" to the levites and their support systems.

Not only is Mobile joining in the vision of the restoration of the Tabernacle with 24-hour prayer and worship, but we envision enacting the levitical duties of disbursing funds brought to the House of Prayer as directed by the Holy Spirit. Mobile is a prophecied center of revival for the end-times according to David Yongghi Cho, who spoke that a revival that began in Pensacola would come to Mobile. Pensacola has seen the outpouring at Brownsville and now, we are preparing for the outpouring in Mobile. We believe that the Lord will have us establish not only the 24-hour continuous prayer and worship, but implement training for these levitical musicians, singers, dancers, etc. through the School of the Spirit. We need prayer and intercession for the blueprints to fully develop and God's strategies to be carried out.

We also see that there will be 5-fold teams gathering in Mobile to go to various global locations for ministry. God is beginning to network these end-time teams. Some of you may even hear the call to come here and take part. God is networking true heart to heart relationships, not just mentor / student relationships.

The funds being sought shall be disbursed in several directions. Some of the money will support musical missions, prophetic evangelism, levitical training, street ministry, widows and orphans, and most will go to funding the administration of the House of Prayer, its support team and its full-time ministers. We believe that since this is a global call, God is telling us to make this request globally. What takes place in these 24 hour prayer / worship gatherings will effect the entire world. We do not believe this is a financial burden to be placed solely upon the people of Mobile.

A couple of years ago, Jim Bakker spoke in Nashville, Tennessee, about this very vision. We quote from his word given there, called, "Discarding Tobiah's Stuff":

"There is a group of musicians and singers in this land who are thirsting and hungering for righteousness. They want to put Jesus first in their lives. In a capsule, this is what the Lord is doing: He is laying the groundwork for a restoration of true worship. There is a work happening all over the land, and God is telling the musicians, the singers and the Levites, "It is time to come off the farm!" What I mean is found in Nehemiah 13:4-12, the story of Eliashib and Tobiah. It directly applies to those in music ministries, but it also applies to those of us who are not-for it is crucial right now that we as the body of Christ recognize and validate such ministries.

When Levites Turn to Farming

The reason we do not have the level of music in the church that we should is because we haven't recognized and respected the worship leaders as true Levites-holy ministers called of God. We have let them "go to the farm" in order to pay their bills, instead of giving them the financial support God intends for them to have.

Someday these anointed ministers won't have to go "farm" anymore, for God from the beginning has intended that singers and musicians be paid as well as other "priests and Levites." But currently many anointed worship leaders are out "farming" in secular jobs because of the church's disobedience and lack of vision.

This is the very situation that existed in Nehemiah chapter 13:

And I came to Jerusalem, and understood of the evil that Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing him a chamber in the courts of the house of God. And it grieved me sore; therefore I cast forth all the household stuff of Tobiah out of the chamber (vs. 7-8).

As in the day of Nehemiah, Eliashib and Tobiah, we've got a lot of "stuff" in the church that is contrary to the Word of God! It's time to discard the "stuff" so the house of God can again be filled with His praises.

Then I commanded, and they cleansed the chambers: and thither brought I again the vessels of the house of God, with the meat offering and the frankincense (v. 9).

What a tragic situation. The incense and all the vessels that were used in praise and worship were removed so that a bunch of household stuff could be moved in - Tobiah's stuff.

And I perceived that the portions of the Levites had not been given them: for the Levites and the singers, that did the work, were fled every one to his field (v. 10)

The Living Bible says, "I also learned that the Levites had not been given what was due them, so they and the choir singers who were supposed to conduct the worship services, had returned to their farms." Many of God's musicians today are supposed to be giving themselves to worship, yet they are out "making tents" and doing other things to make a living - they've gone back to their farms.

If we are going to have the move of God that the Lord has ordained, it is going to take people who are wholly dedicated to the ministry of worship.

Even in battle, the musicians and singers would go before the Israelite armies (see II Chronicles 20:20-22). Great choirs and orchestras led the victory processions into the Temple. Their worship was not only on special occasions-not even just weekly-for they had singers and musicians leading continual worship to the Lord (I Chronicles 9:33).

God inhabits praise. That is why we need to esteem worship leaders as Levites, worthy to receive financial support in the same way as the other priests and ministers do. Anointed singers, musicians and psalmists must be pure before the Lord. They must be devoted to seeking Him. They need to be freed from unnecessary secular distractions so they can spend time preparing to lead the church into the throne room of God. That is what this portion of Scripture is all about:

And I perceived that the portions of the Levites had not been given them: for the Levites and the singers, that did the work, were fled every one to his field. Then contended I with the rulers, and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I gathered them together, and set them in their place. Then brought all Judah the tithe of the corn and the new wine and the oil unto the treasuries (Nehemiah 13:10-12).

That is what the Lord wants to do - bring the wine and the oil back into the house ofGod. It is time for all the elements of worship to come back to the Lord's house. This is an urgent message to the church."

AMEN. We believe that the chief musicians, the "Chenaniahs", "Asaphs", "Hemans" and "Jeduthans" should be paid the tithe of the tithe. We believe the gatekeepers, those called to minister before the Lord, should be kept pure before Him and not have to work in the fields - not have to compromise with the spirit of the world in music. Therefore, since satan is upping the ante so heavily in our nation and our globe, we believe it is time to install and rightfully place the levitical musicians, singers and gatekeepers and intercessors in their places so that God's plans can be heard, understood and implemented.
